In partnership with Howard Community College, the Community Action Council of Howard County is pleased to announce the opening of our fifth Early Childhood Education Center:

THE CHILDREN'S LEARNING CENTER AT HOWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE

As part of our Early Childhood Education Program, The Children’s Learning Center at Howard Community College (CLC) will offer eligible student parents access to full-day, year-round programming designed to prepare children socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten and beyond.

The Community Action Council of Howard County is now accepting applications for the CLC.

Below are the eligibility requirements: 
  • You must be a degree or certificate-seeking HCC student parent.
  • You must be registered for 6 or more credits per semester while your child is enrolled in the CLC.
  • You must be Pell Grant eligible.
  • Your child must be three years old by September 1 of the current year to enroll in mixed-age classrooms.
  • Your child must be four years old by September 1 of the current year to enroll in prekindergarten.
