These policies protects an employee from loss of income in the event of being unable to work due to illness, injury, or accident for a specified period of time.

Employees may apply for reimbursement for tuition costs after completion of one (1) year of satisfactory service.

Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays

Employees receive:

  • 15 days of vacation leave (for school staff, this is built into the school schedule)
  • 12 days of sick leave
  • 5 days for personal use
  • 13 days of paid federal holidays

Retirement Plan

Employees who work more than 500 hours per year are enrolled in the Maryland State Retirement System.
