Sorry, but you don’t qualify under the terms of our current funding.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE:

  • A completed CAC Universal Application (download here or pick up at our office).
  • A completed CAC Supplemental Housing Packet (download here or pick up at our office).

RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND EVICTION PREVENTION APPLICANTS MUST ALSO PROVIDE:

  • Every household member 18 years of age or older will be required to provide a valid photo ID and proof of income for the past 30 days.
  • A copy of our current SIGNED rental/lease agreement. (ALL PAGES). Lease must the most recent lease. If your lease is expired and you are month to month, the leasing office must provide a copy of your original lease and a letter stating you are month to month and your monthly rent.
  • A copy of your court judgement or eviction documents or rent ledger from your rental office showing:
    • Proof you do NOT owe more than $2000 of back-rent.
    • Proof you are NOT more than 2 months behind in rent.

If your ledger or court judgment is more than $2000.00 your application for assistance will be denied.

CAC requires at least three (3) full business days to process eviction or first month’s rental assistance applications.

  • Applications submitted after 2:00 PM will be reviewed starting the next business day.
  • We cannot accept an Eviction or a First month’s rental assistance application that are due in less than three (3) business days.

Please plan accordingly to ensure your application is eligible for review.

FIRST MONTH’S RENT APPLICANTS MUST ALSO PROVIDE:

  • A copy of your Welcome Letter or Pre-Lease from your landlord.

Note, CAC does NOT assist with security deposits.

DUE TO VERY LIMITED FUNDS THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS APPLY TO ALL APPLICATIONS
  • All specific program documentation requested must be emailed to clientassistance@cac-hc.org or physically delivered to our office at 9820 Patuxent Woods Drive, Columbia, MD 21046.
  • Partially completed packets will not be accepted or processed.
  • Once all documents are received and verified, you will receive an email stating your application has been received and assigned to your community worker.
  • Your application will be reviewed against each available grant.
  • Each grant will require additional documents to confirm your eligibility.
