FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do I park during the event?

There are many parking spaces in the lot around Reckless Shepherd Brewing and overflow parking is available in the DHL Bowles (6625 Dobbin Rd, Columbia, MD 21045) lot just behind the restaurant (access the lot via Dobbin Rd). For attendees with mobility challenges, we recommend dropping off before parking.

What is the attire for the evening?

This is a birthday party! We recommend you come in business casual attire or feel free to dress in your favorite outfit from the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and on!

What is the check-in process when I arrive?

Check in at the registration table by the main entrance and get your photo at our red-carpet step-and-repeat! Have a credit card available if you want to easily add a payment method to your registration!

What type of food should I expect at the event?

We have an amazing menu planned for the evening including some truly great vegetarian and vegan options! And it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake! You won’t go home hungry!

What type of Silent Auction items are available for bidding?

We have some one-of-a-kind items, fantastic experiences, and amazing getaways in our silent auction. You can also directly support CAC programs! Check out our auction page here.

Are donations tax deductible?

Community Action Council of Howard County is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We’ll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
