How to Apply for Our Weatherization Assistance Programs Online in 3 Steps

1. See If You Are Income Eligible

   The first thing you should do is visit our income guidelines page. Weatherization assistance eligibility includes both homeowners and renters throughout Maryland, including Howard County and Baltimore County.

2. Fill Out Our Online Intake Form (and Full Application If Needed)

   After you’ve determined your eligibility, you can fill out an online intake form. This is the first step to apply for Maryland weatherization program assistance. We ask you a few simple questions about your home and any other assistance programs you’re currently participating in. This information helps us assess whether you’ll need to fill out a full weatherization assistance program application.

   If you are approved after filling out the intake form, we’ll let you know and you can move to Step #3. If we need you to fill out a full application, we’ll provide the forms and help you through the process.

3. Book a Home Energy Assessment

   Once your application is processed, the next step will be to schedule an energy assessment. This assessment will help identify areas where energy improvements can be made. They’ll assess the insulation your home currently has, look for air leaks, and inspect your heating and cooling systems.

   This energy assessment, which is sometimes known as a home energy audit, helps us determine which services your home needs.
