Cornerstone of Opportunity Capital Campaign

Howard County is one of the nation’s most prosperous communities, yet thousands of local families still struggle to put food on the table and afford early childhood education. The increasing demand for essential services has outgrown the capacity of CAC’s current facilities, placing critical support at risk for those who rely on it most.

These realities are the motivators for CAC’s campaign to build the Cornerstone of Opportunity Campus. Located along the Route 1 Corridor, this campus will be home to a larger Howard County Food Bank and a new high quality Early Childhood Education Center.

This is more than just an investment in facilities. It is an opportunity for you to play a part in strengthening lives and building communities.

Your Support Will Help Make a Difference

Food Insecurity is Rising

More than one in five families in Howard County struggle to afford enough food, and the demand on our Howard County Food Bank has nearly doubled in recent years.

Solution:

A larger Howard County Food Bank will ensure everyone in Howard County has access to essential nutrition.

Children Can't Wait

With 90% of brain development happening before age five, its critical that our youngest children have the necessary educational resources to grow.

Solution:

Expanded, high-quality early childhood education services will improve school performance, health, and long-term economic mobility in Howard County.

“We are literally standing at the Cornerstone of Opportunity. This campus will bring dignity-based care to our neighbors, meeting them where they are, reducing transportation barriers, and empowering whole families with healthy food and early education. Nearly one-third of CAC’s clients come from the Route One Corridor. This is not just a groundbreaking. It’s a promise kept. It’s a call to action to build a stronger future, together.”
